Brain Dead Studios
Depending who you ask, this British cult black comedy is either homophobic, due to its treatment of Withnail's lecherous gay uncle Morty, or a queer-coded romance, with something special lurking underneath the main characters' close-but-complicated friendship.
Two out-of-work actors – the anxious, luckless Marwood and his acerbic, alcoholic friend, Withnail – spend their days drifting between their squalid flat, the unemployment office and the pub. When they take a holiday “by mistake” at the country house of Withnail’s flamboyantly gay uncle, Monty, they encounter the unpleasant side of the English countryside: tedium, terrifying locals and torrential rain.

Egyptian Theatre
Based on the novel by lesbian Patricia Highsmith, starring bi actor Farley Granger (who came out in his 2007 memoir), this Hitchcock thriller is hardly subtle--with its queer-coded villain serving as a doppleganger for everything our meek protagonist wishes he could be.
Having met on a train, a smooth-talking psychotic socialite shares his theory on how two complete strangers can get away with murder to an amateur tennis player — a theory he plans to test out.

Donna Deitch’s swooning and sensual first film, DESERT HEARTS, was groundbreaking upon its 1986 release: a love story about two women, produced and directed by a woman. In the 1959-set film, an adaptation of a beloved novel by Jane Rule, straitlaced East Coast professor Vivian Bell (Shaver) arrives in Reno to file for divorce, but winds up catching the eye of someone new, the younger free spirit Cay (Charbonneau), touching off a slow seduction that unfolds against the breathtaking desert landscape. With smoldering chemistry between its two leads, an evocative jukebox soundtrack, and vivid cinematography by Robert Elswit, DESERT HEARTS beautifully exudes a sense of tender yearning and emotional candor. The True Story of Tamara de Lempicka and the Art of Survival
Opened Jul 17, 2025
Opens Jul 17, 2025

A visually stunning and sweeping feature documentary that traces the life and survival of the renowned bisexual painter through her powerful paintings – from her rise to international stardom in 1920s Paris, to her move to the United States in 1940, fleeing the rise of fascism, and her revival in the current art market. Tamara de Lempicka was the preeminent Art Deco painter, known for her high-gloss sensual nudes and portraits of high society during the Jazz Age. She was marginalized and gained notoriety for her romantic liaisons with her models and her indulgent, decadent lifestyle, but she was so much more.
