Gay filmmaker Andrew Ahn (Spa Night, Fire Island) joins a special screening of his latest film The Wedding Banquet, a remake of Ang Lee's 1993 breakout comedy of the same name.

A rarely seen treasure of Queer film history, "Meet... Bradley Harrison Picklesimer" (1988) was shot over three years, and paints a colorful portrait of the Lexington drag queen who owned a bar on Main Street in the 80s. Presented with other short films by director Heather McAdams, who joins in person Bradley Picklesimer himself at the Academy Museum on Thursday.

The new Black Cat Cinema Series kicks off this week with a special screening of I Am Divine at LOOK Cinemas in Glendale. This hilarious and moving documentary tells the story of infamous drag queen Divine, star of many John Waters films. Director Jeffrey Schwarz will join in-person for a Q&A, and don't forget to hang out with other Queer film fans at the lounge.

The Queer Film LA team will be at West Hollywood Pride, today and tomorrow, and Los Angeles Pride next Saturday, June 8.
