TCM Classic Film Festival

Classical Hollywood is full of Queer films--works by Queer directors, with Queer stars, and with Queer characters, obvious or not--and the annual TCM Classic Film Festival (April 24-27) does not skimp out.
Our picks include The Ritz (1976), about a straight man hiding out from the mob in a gay bathhouse, Marlene Dietrich's infamous gender-bending cabaret act in her breakout Morocco (1930), a pair of mob henchmen who are likely boyfriends in noir The Big Combo (1955), landmark Black gay liberationist Lindy in Car Wash (1976), and many more.
