CONTENT WARNING:

An openly gay star on the standup comedy circuit gets a shot at her own TV sitcom, but the offer has serious strings attached. A ghost from her past threatens not only her professional future, but her relationship with her live-in-lover of four years.

This film is presented in English with English subtitles.

A happily married lesbian stand-up comic living in Vancouver is offered the part in a TV sitcom, only to discover that the offer came as a peace offering from a woman from her past, with whom she parted on less-than-ideal terms. The ensuing return of old passions threatens her current relationship.

This feature documentary explores the roles of the son and the father in western, patriarchal culture. Hi-8 home video, snapshots, dramatic archival footage and poetic and expository sequences blend with the moving testimonies of fathers and sons to form a sometimes humorous, sometimes troubling series of portraits of contemporary relationships

From the director of Out: Stories of Lesbian and Gay Youth comes this documentary about the life and times of James Egan, Canada's pioneer gay activist and his lover of over forty years, Jack Nesbitt.

A documentary telling the story of Jim Egan, an outspoken champion of gay rights in Canada since the 1940s and 50s. Egan and his partner, Jack Nesbit, took the Candian federal government to court in a historic attempt to win legal recognition for same-sex partnerships. An intimate and moving portrayal of a relationship that spans nearly 50 years of gay history in North America.
